BTC is proud to celebrate 75 years of keeping our community connected to each other, and to the world.
On June 21, 1951, the Ballard Telephone Cooperative was incorporated under Kentucky state law to usher in a new era of telecommunications in Ballard County. Since then, BTC has worked alongside the community not only to keep pace with the transition into the digital age, but to remain at the forefront of tomorrow’s technology.
As a local cooperative, BTC’s success is rooted in the community it serves. Generations of members, employees, and leaders have worked passionately to build an infrastructure designed to keep us connected while preparing for the future of connectivity.
Community Focused
BTC’s greatest asset is the community it serves. Our employees, board members, and co-op members share one thing in common: we are all part of the community we serve. This celebration is as much about Ballard County (and beyond) as it is about BTC.
To commemorate 75 years of local connections, we’ll be hosting community events, revisiting BTC’s history through images and stories, and celebrating the people who have helped shape our journey.
