Lifeline is a federal assistance program that helps eligible households lower the monthly cost of phone or internet service.
Eligible customers may receive a monthly Lifeline discount on qualifying service from BTC.
Who Qualifies for Lifeline?
You may qualify for Lifeline if your household income is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or if you or someone in your household participates in certain federal assistance programs, including:
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Medicaid
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
- Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
Eligibility requirements are established by the federal Lifeline program and are subject to change.

Lifeline eligibility is determined through the National Verifier.

After your eligibility is approved, contact BTC at 270-665-5186 for assistance applying your Lifeline benefit to your eligible BTC service.
